DESCRIPTION
The Femoral Ender Nail is designed to be used for intramedullary
fixation of pertrochanteric, intertrochanteric and subtrochanteric
fractures of femur. The Tibial Ender Nail may be used for
intramedullary fixation of the tibial fractures. It may also be
indicated for certain types humeral fractures where adequate
fixation may be obtained. Tibial Ender Nailing is a safe and
effective choice for treatment of open tibial shaft fractures such
as open, comminuted and segmental fractures due to faster
fracture union rate and fewer complications.

KNOWLES PIN
DESCRIPTION
The Knowles Pin is commonly used for intertrochanteric fractures. In order to
ensure a good grip on the femoral head, the pins have been manufactured with
deep coarse thread that is larger than the smooth shaft. Provided with a square
head to easier removal. Shaft is undercut in the back of bead to provide a
“snap-off”

STEINMANN PIN
DESCRIPTION
The Steinmann Pin is used to transfix bone for traction or fixation. It is particularly used for alignment, reduction
of fractures and with certain external fixation system. Steinmann pins are supplied with trocar point and
three-sided end fits for universal chuck connection. A wide-diameter pin used for heavy skeletal traction, as
in the tibia or femur. Extension exerted on the distal fragment of a fractured bone by means of a nail or pin
(Steinmann pin) driven into the fragment. It is also called nail extension. Intramedullary pin with a choice of
ends, either screw, chisel or trocar. It can be plained at one end or it can have one of the selected points at

The Schanz Pin is designed to be used in the external fixation of bone. Schanz Pins are components of External
Circular System and Dynamic Axial Fixators. Schanz Pins are supplied with trocar point. The Schanz Pin with
Hydroxyapatite Coating improves fixation and reduces the rate of pin-track infection. Designed to secure fixation
in cortical, cancellous and osteoporotic bone The enhanced fixation and improved stability at the pin-bone interface
seen with Schanz pins with hydroxyapatite coating. Using a hydroxapatite Schanz Pin, the bone grows into and onto
the hydroxyapatite so that the border between the two materials becomes indistinct. This biological bond is a strong
anchor which will ensure long-term stability of the bone-screw construct, allowing it to withstand repetitive loading
cycles without loosening of the screw. Schanz pins are supplied with trocar point end fits for universal chuck

EPIPHYSEAL STAPLE
The Epiphyseal Staple is designed for fragment fixation, particularly in
